Say hello to my little friend, the Davy Crockett

From the annals of crazy military inventions comes this little lovely, nuclear rifle. What could go wrong, right? It had a selectable yield of 10-20 kilotons, weighed just 35kgs and had a range of only 3,5km. Actually that was the main problem with it: the firing range was barely more than the lethal blast range and the firers were almost guaranteed to be hit with fallout. It was pretty much a desperation weapon. Still a total of 2100 were built and deployed with US Army forces from 1961 to 1971.
