More than one in three South African men questioned in a survey admitted to rape, the latest evidence in the country of a violent culture of patriarchy.
Researchers found that more than three in four men said they had perpetrated violence against women.
Nearly nine in 10 men believe that a woman should obey her husband – and almost six in 10 women also agreed with the statement.
South Africa has one of the highest rates of rape in the world. Last year a survey by the Medical Research Council (MRC) found that 28% of men in Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal provinces said they had raped a woman or girl.

The report gives the impression 1 in 3 of all South African men admit they rape woman.
It´s very convenient to ommit the race of the offenders. Whites are once again demonised by their existance within a black majority.
Further to anon (19:26), we all know that if the villains were predominantly white, there would be no hesitation in breaking these stats down by race. Of course, the villains being mostly black, it becomes just a generic label for the whole male population.
When the media like to only tell half-truths, they are in fact telling lies.
Those are the ones who admit it.

Grave it is! It is just gruesome to know of that fact that almost every men in South Africa have experienced raping a female. This is because maybe of the illiteracy in the nation. And of course because of the rising poverty as well. Awareness should be encouraged and education should be implemented.
