And the bill for Mugabe's party was...

Not to worry. Soon Mugabe will have his day in hell...

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's supporters say they spent $300 000 (about R2.3-million) to celebrate his 86th birthday in the impoverished country.

Delma Lupepe, a leading member of Mugabe's party, said on Saturday he helped raise the money from donors.

The Chinese Embassy gave a cake the size of a large TV, which Mugabe's wife Grace helped cut on Saturday in the southern city of Bulawayo. (They couldn't have had it made in Zimbabwe. Every thing's depleted.)

Lupepe says: "We have to celebrate our leader, who's now 86. How many people reach that age?"

The UN says the average life expectancy is about 44 in Zimbabwe, which is beset by hunger and Aids. (No long and prosperous lives for the majority of the country. There is NOTHING to celebrate.)

Some 25,000 Mugabe supporters were invited to celebrations a week after his birthday. A concert on Friday night was followed by a meal of beef, chicken and rice on Saturday (The only way to get anyone to go to any 'celebration' is to use food as an incentive. Boy, Mugabe must feel like such a dick!). - Sapa-AP

Yes, let them eat cake...since freedom has no nutritional value at all...

Let them eat cake if they're hungry...sounds familiar.
