(R)eplacing Obama

As a reply to ExZanian's post here, I wondered how liberal America would go about finding a replacement for Barack Obama, who is likely to lose the next presidential election. With that in mind, here is a list of potential Republican candidates (in my opinion) who would be up to the task, while being non-white enough to satisfy the guilt of liberals.

This is purely academic, because as we all know, the only African-Americans (and women) liberals want the advancement of are liberal ones....

First up, Colin Powell, one of the most powerful African-Americans in history. Although he is approaching the ripe old age of 73, Powell would make an excellent president.

Sadly, his age will no doubt be a deciding factor against his candidacy.

Second, chairman of the Republican National Committee Michael Steele. (below left)
At 51, Steele is in the right age group and ticks some good Conservative boxes. Thanks to Ranger Tom for the reference to Steele.

Third and finally, Michael L. Williams (below), of the Texas Railroad Commission. Appointed by George Bush, Williams has since been re-elected to the position three times, and enjoys wide support among Texan Republicans. He is running for the United States Senate next year and will be the only Black Republican in the Senate.

He'll have to lose the bowtie though...

She'll be on the ticket, Ex!
But only as running-mate. I've warmed to Palin a lot, actually.

I'd bang Palin, but I wouldn't put her in charge of a country...

Sometimes, as an ex-SA Pat, I chuckle at the naivete of some of your posts... you are aware, I assume, that Powell came out very strong in support of Obama, & said he voted for Obama, are you not?

If not, do a better job of homework.

Why don't we just send the South African government over there to try get in power. They can do no wrong after all and their success is almost guaranteed. Anyone not wishing to go to hell would support the party of the black jesus.
