Hitch-hiker shot dead

Well, I have no idea what to make of this....[scratching head]....ummmm......oh hell, let's just find fault with a whitey.... It's all happening in the average South African day!

A hitch-hiker was shot dead and a pregnant police constable was placed in hospital in a bizarre incident in Vryburg on Saturday, North West police said.

The constable had stopped at a service station and offered a female hitch-hiker a lift, said Superintendent Lesego Metsi.

While travelling, the woman was on her cellphone and obstructing the rear-view mirror when the constable asked her to move.

"She refused and tried to strangle the constable..." said Metsi.

Their was a struggle in the car, and the officer lost control, hitting into a tree.

After alighting from the car, a fight ensued between both women and the officer opened fire.

The hitch hiker was struck in the chest and died on scene.

The officer was placed in hospital for shock and trauma.

Her service pistol was seized for investigation purposes, said Metsi.

A case of murder and attempted hijacking is being investigated. - Sapa

Sounds rather like attempted rape and elimination of the accuser to me.

I'm pretty sure police aren't allowed to give people lifts??
