High Power Job

I have a relative who works on live powerlines who dreams of migrating to this type of work because it pays damn well. The work is so dangerous, is why. Somehow the prospect of becoming a crispy critter at work does not appeal to me. The piloting skills are incredible, there is zero margin for error. Fascinating.

Can't understand why these power lines aren't buried underground. Seems a lot better solution?

Censorbugbear, it's too expensive to bury them. If you do they need cooling which increases costs even further.

AFAIK, this technique was developed by Eskom. How the mighty are fallen.
