Have you heard? If you disagree with an Obama policy, you are now considered a racist by those who support his policies. Granted, liberals tend to throw around the “R” word like candy on Halloween and are clueless to the ramifications of labeling someone a racist, especially with no proof, but still.
The worst part is these accusations are not coming from racist statements or actions from the accused. Nope. These accusations are based on what those on the left want you to be thinking. That’s right…no proof of racism, just a convenient hypothesis based on your disagreement with an Obama policy and your skin color being of the Caucasian variety. That’s how they roll, especially in a politically disadvantageous climate. Call it political reverse-racial profiling, if you will.
Of course, this is extremely irresponsible and hypocritical on their part. If you remember, it was perfectly fine to have issues with such conservatives as Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice and Alberto Gonzales, but God forbid if you disagree with a minority in liberal clothing, you racist!
The one positive in all of this is that liberals use the “R” word when they’re in trouble and backed into a corner. They use it when the argument isn’t going their way. They use it when facts prove them wrong. They use it as a distraction to get focus off the real issue. It’s their attempt at a trump card. The fact that they've resorted to its use is good news for the conservative movement. Having launched a very effective attack on Obama’s radical agenda and excessive spending spree, conservatives have forced liberals to use the race card as a last ditch effort to save face.
One of the negative dynamics however, is that this race baiting will serve as a distraction to the failed policies of this White House and will eventually morph into the reason why Obama has been such a failure. It won’t be because of his terrible performance as President, it will be because he’s a black President in a country full of racists. That would be the same “racist country” mind you, that elected him President with 53% of the vote.
Several prominent Democrats have been working this race angle over the past few days, the most well-known probably being former President Jimmy Carter. President Carter recently took his turn throwing the race card into the winds of fabricated hate so that we can all sit back and watch it fly:
Jimmy Carter is arguably one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had and is considered a joke in most political circles. Even the White House is on record telling Carter to basically shut his yap, but one would think they’re welcoming this distraction to their failed agenda, even though most people think the race claims are erroneous. From Rasmussen Reports:
Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office.
Former President Carter tells "NBC Nightly News" that racism has surfaced in opposition to President Obama. "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told "NBC Nightly News."
Nonetheless, Democrats have created a veritable race blame blueprint for Obama’s past and future failures. With that said, by 2012 and with a trail of shattered liberal dreams behind them, the left will attempt to paint the majority of the country as one big lynch mob in white hoods. And when the majority of Americans express their dissatisfaction with progressive governing by voting Obama out in three years, the left’s indictment of a racist America will only solidify, albeit under false pretences, amongst their masses. In the meantime, expect this trend to continue full force as liberal anguish increases, while a lack of a support from independents, conservatives and democrats continues to grow and Obama policies continue to fail.
Twelve percent (12%) of voters nationwide believe that most opponents of President Obama’s health care reform plan are racist. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 67% of voters disagree, and 21% are not sure.
