As Pensioner did a little insert in remembrance of the 2nd World War, I thought I would add a little piece. Highly illuminating...
The first pic is familiar to us all. Taken shortly after the atomic bomb detonation over Hiroshima on 06 August 1945.
Total devastation!
The remaining pics are probably not familiar to you...Hiroshima 64 years later. A true testament to the human enterprise...

How does this grab you? Don't you wish that our cities looked half as good?
It appears they put the two atom bombs behind them and went back to work rebuild their cities. No self pity, no "victim" mentality and as far as I'm aware, no reparations paid by the USA. The Japanese have expressed remorse for the attacks on Pearl Harbour yet have not expected an apology from the USA for the atomic bombings in return.
Hard to believe isn't it???
So how does Africa look after the same 64 years???? A total disaster and still deteriorating......
And they were given everything on a silver plate and are still begging and crying for aid...

@ anon 9:19, 'nuff said. It's the content of the character of the race that matters in overcoming adversity and every race has had to face their problems but not blacks, it seems blacks were last in line when brains and dignity were handed out. As a black, having to plead poverty all the time has to be humiliating but then, I think they lack that quality as well.
