Island Shark's post - Model of cause and effect - made a lot of sense to me. It explains so much about what has gone wrong in Zimbabwe. We need to be careful though, not to make sweeping generalisations and it would be rash to make a direct cause/ effect connection between race and the decline (or "normalisation" as described in the post) of Zimbabwe. But there is always that nagging correlation that never seems to go away, isn't there?
I have selected a few images reflecting the decline over the last five odd years in Zimbabwe. Many of you will recognise the first images which stem from reports in 2004 of the first "ox-drawn" Zimbabwe ambulances (no, this is not a myth created by white supremacist's to go "LOL" in comments or otherwise denigrate, it's genuine) and the others come from the BBC here, and the others from Zim bloggers here, and here.
