Michael Jackson RIP

The Elvis Presley of our age dies aged 50.

King of Pop dies of heart attack - The Australian

Remembering all sides of Michael Jackson - Dallas News

There's A Place In Your Heart
And I Know That It Is Love
and this place could be Much
Brighter Than Tomorrow

And If You Really Try
You'll Find There's No Need To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel
That There's No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways To Get There
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Little Space
Make A Better Place...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race

There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me

If You Want To Know Why
There's A Love That
Cannot Lie
Love Is Strong
It Only Cares For Joyful Giving

If We Try
We Shall See
In This Bliss
We Cannot Feel
Fear Or Dread
We Stop Existing And
Start Living

Then It Feels That Always
Love's Enough For Us Growing
Make A Better World

Make A Better World
For You and For Me

He may have tarnished his legacy towards the end, but his loss is staggering. Those of my generation will never forget the awesome power of the Thriller album. How sad.

At the same time, let's not forget that Farrah Fawcett also died today, after a long battle with cancer.

Holy Shit I am starting to become aware of my own mortality.

@ VI, I agree with everything you say. I grew up with his music. Considering the type of upbringing he had, a lost childhood, he became socially awkward, enduring many demons in his adult life which probably accounted for his quirky behaviour. But overall history will judge him kindly. He gave more than he took. RIP.

Sorry to hear about Farrah Fawcett as well. So sad. They say the good die young whereas the evil live longer because the devil looks after his own.

Live each day as if it were your last, is the lesson here.

O/T but somebody in the marketing department has a great sense of humour :)

This peadophile piece of kaffirshit has met his doom. he could not keep his filthy kaffirpaws off the blond white little boys. Does not matter who or what you are, do not mess with the kids. Now, at least all the kids are safe. And to this miserable kaffirshit: Bon voyage on your trip to hell!

Due to the fact that Michael Jackson is 99% plastic, he will be melted down into Lego blocks so little boys can play with him for a change.

Can't say I will miss him much since he has not produced any music for 15 years, but yah, he was great in the 70's and early 80's. We should remember him as he used to be: ala naturale, big bushy peppercorn, putty brown nose and a voice like an angel.

News update from the LA coroner. he doesn't know what to do with the body. Plastic recycling is only next week Thursday.

@ anon 11:15, don't you think you're being a bit harsh? The man was five when he first appeared on stage. His father was abusive and pushed him and his siblings to achieve. He went from stage to stage to recording studio to recording studio.

In interviews he said he did not know what it was like to be a child, he did not have a childhood. He saw things in nightclubs that a child should never see. His father used to pick on him, call him ugly because he had pimples. He was so wrecked by his father that he hated being who he was and some say that he lived his life to be a different person physically because he hated who he was.

When he grew up he decided to relive his childhood through children's eyes and build a theme park and try and get back what he'd lost. But society looking at this combined with the Tall Poppy Syndrome hated his success and the rumour mill got going.

I don't, for one second, believe he was a child molester, he should just have used better judgement perhaps but this is a guy that did not know what 'normal' was. He'd been chased by paparazzi since he was a kid.

I must disagree. Michael Jackson was a prodigy, a musical genius the likes of which we may never see again, certainly nothing available today compares to his skill and abilities so from me, I say, thank you Michael and may you find the peace in death which you never had in life.

Even if Jacko was a bit Whacko, I mourn for my musical loss. His music was a large part of my growing up, and his passing now requires closure which inevitably makes one focus on one's own mortality. If it doesn't then you have lost your humanity.
