Sooner or later - your number must come up

You can no longer drive in peace without getting hijacked and raped. At least they are lucky to be alive. Favourite SA saying after being subjected to this type of incident and not being killed.

Moments after raping a Pretoria woman, her attackers turned on her again in a rage as she tried to free her boyfriend, who had been made to watch the ordeal.

The couple had stopped at a traffic light in Lavender Road near Sinoville on Tuesday night when two men smashed open their car's back window and got into the vehicle.

Holding a weapon to the woman's head, the men forced the boyfriend to drive to a nearby field.

There they tied him up before they dragged his girlfriend out of the car.

It is believed that the men forced the woman's boyfriend to watch as they took turns raping her.

Information given to the Pretoria News revealed that the men, when they were walking away, turned on the woman again when one of them spotted her as she crawled to her boyfriend and tried to free him.

The men kicked her, grabbed her and took turns raping her again before they fled.

Police spokesperson Mirna von Benecke said the men had attacked the couple as they stopped at a traffic light in Lavender Road.

She said the men forced the couple to drive to an open field where they had tied up the man before they took turns raping the woman.

"As the men were walking away, one of the men spotted her crawling to her boyfriend in an attempt to free him. They attacked the woman a second time and raped her again before they fled," she said.

Von Benecke urged members of the public to be very cautious when driving along Lavender Road, as it had become a crime hotspot, "especially for smash and grab attacks".

That's it bud. It's not IF, it is WHEN. Odds too short for me and my family.
