“... it is of the utmost urgency that governments now recognize the facts and implications of population growth, determine the ultimate population sizes that make sense for their countries and start vigorous programs at once to achieve their desired goals.” [Page 15]
“...population factors are indeed critical in, and often determinants of, violent conflict in developing areas. Segmental (religious, social, racial) differences, migration, rapid population growth, differential levels of knowledge and skills, rural/urban differences, population pressure and the spatial location of population in relation to resources -- in this rough order of importance -- all appear to be important contributions to conflict and violence... Clearly, conflicts which are regarded in primarily political terms often have demographic roots. Recognition of these relationships appears crucial to any understanding or prevention of such hostilities.” [p66]

When do you decide Secession of the Cape Republic of Good Hope is viable?
In the French Riddle of the Azania Lily Pond, a lily pond has a potentially virulent lily (exponential growth of corruption, farm murders, welfare entitlements, unemployment and reckless procreation of unwanted and unloved black children) that for the purposes of this Azania Riddle, will double in size each day. If the lily (corruption, welfare, murders, breeding) grows unchecked it will cover the entire pond in 30 days, choking off all other forms of life in the water by the time it covers the entire pond. If you are a Secession skeptic and waited until 50% of the lily pond was covered before taking any corrective action to save the pond, when would you act? The answer: on the 29th day of the month! But by then, it would be too late.
That is what Einstein called the most powerful force on earth: the exponential function.
Another example of an exponential function at work, is compound interest. Chris Martenson’s excellent Energy, Ecomics and Ecology Crash Course, has a simple, short eloquent description of how important it is to understand exponential functions, and their consequences: The Power of Compounding
As stated in Secession Anyone? Q & A on Cape Party Issues, Cape Party Deputy Leader Adrian Kay has agreed to answer questions for those interested in The Cape Party’s platform of Secession.
In our telephonic conversation on the issue today, he reiterated that The Cape Party and its desire for Secession is based upon the belief that Secession is the only viable solution for minorities who – to put it mildly -- do not feel heard, respected, nor appreciated as taxpaying law abiding citizens, by the ANC’s ruling, and frequently corrupt, oligarchy.
The Cape Party are searching for future Cape Party Leaders. The Cape Party does not remotely consider that they have many, let alone ‘all’, the answers. The walk towards Secession will be one where those who felt inspired by the idea, not only contributed to the debate, but got involved in the implementation of the conclusions agreed upon.
In the same way as John F. Kennedy intentions were to put a man on the Moon; the Cape Party’s intentions are the peaceful Secession of the Cape Republic of Good Hope, from Azania. What are your intentions? What are your questions?
If you are a Secession skeptic, please do not sit around apathetically prevaricating and waiting until the 29th day of the month. If Secession interests you; The Cape Party wants to hear from you; and wants to know if you want to establish a Cape Party Branch in your town. Do you?

ANC declares "War on the Cape"
The Cape Party notes the Umkhonto We Sizwe's Veterans declaration of war against the Western Cape and calls on all citizens of the Cape, regardless of political affiliation to stand together in defence of our country, the Cape Republic of Good Hope. The threat made on Wednesday to mobilize "war veterans" to destabilize the Western Cape, is not an attack on Helen Zille, it is not an attack on the DA, it is in point of fact an assault on the Cape Nation and all who call the Cape home. The further fact that the statements emanated from and were made in Johannesburg is further evidence that the ANC, having been utterly destroyed in the Western Cape through proper democratic process are now preparing to resort to violent intimidatory thuggery in their ruthless pursuit of power.
It is worth noting that several statements emanating from the occupiers have indicated their hostility towards the Cape. Blade Nzimande, a Minister in the Azanian Cabinet had called the Cape a Bantustan, while senior ANC leaders has referred to the Cape as "another country" in Die Burger. We call on the ANC to distance itself from these barbaric statements promoting lawlessness and civil conflict.

5 Opinion(s):
FTR: I thought best way was for Adrian to address one question at a time, say one question a week; and then that question could be discussed in depth, if further questions arised from it, they could be added to the list. Anyway that was my idea.
The more I ponder the idea of secession, the more it seems unworkable. Simply because the bantu had not moved far enough south, does not automatically mean the whites and coloureds are entitled to the land. Furthermore, because the original occupiers of the land have been demographically destroyed does not morally strengthen a secession claim, the converse probably, which means there will be no international popular support. Add this to my other concerns.
VI: I will certainly include your view in the questions. I think people who come up with their reasons (obviously the higher their quality of evidence to justify their reason, the better) for why they think Cession cannot occur; are very valuable.
When J.F. Kennedy decided to put together a team, to put a man on the moon. He insisted that every single scientist who said 'it cannot be done' had to be included in the team. Once all thier scientific reasons to prove 'it cannot be done' were overcome; those who thought it could, would have learnt what not to do and what to do, to make it happen.
Not sure if its a true story, but I like the lesson therein.
There are those that suggest that I am not positive. The world doesn't work with black or white absolutes. The approach J.F.K. took is commonly applied as a TOWS Matrix. I will send you one to look at. The gist is that you have to consider every possibility and then develop strategies to overcome any problems.
VI: Well, you ain't positive about the idea, and thats okay. I don't get that your 'negativity' is about being lazy to get involved; but about concerns you got about its feasibility. So you may be seeing something others ain't. We won't know, unless we disect the issue; and of course there are many factors, and many of them are subject to constant change.
Thanks for being the resident professor ;-) and giving me a name for my concept! The TOWS Matrix, huh!
I think thats a great idea; and shall (goodness knows when there is time, 28 hour day please! ;-)) use the Q & A with Adrian and interested participants, to hopefully do exactly that: develop strategies to overcome any problems.
Thanks.
