My sister was standing next to me when I watched the De la Rey song on Youtube for the first time. Afterwards my teary eyes were reflected in my sisters’ and I realized how deeply entrenched humiliation had become in our Afrikaner society. The urge to believe in these Siener prophesies that one day we will be free again is very strong, although I have never been one to believe in prophecies.
