Beeld today reports that the Police crime intelligence unit is investigating allegations that a right wing group kidnapped young children and is busy training them to wage a planned war against blacks.
One person has already been arrested on a charge of kidnapping.
Supt. Thembi Nkwashu, police spokesman says they are investigating the allegations but that the matter is highly sensitive and cannot discuss it with the media. They may also not give any details to the media.
The children are taught how to make grenades and bombs and how to plant them. Kids from as young as 13 and as far as Upington are kept on a farm in Naboomspruit where they are trained as soldiers.
Information about this organisation came to light when a 15 year old boy was apparently kidnapped from his home, taken to the farm and taught how to make a bomb and use firearms
Apparently he was given army clothes and told he would be a good soldier.
His mother laid a charge of kidnapping on Thursday and he was dropped off at home on Sunday, whereafter his kidnappers raced away.
The cops waited for the kidnappers and when they dropped him off, the cops chased them.
A suspoect was arrested and the cops got hold of douments which deal with the training of kids.
The family will now be kept under police guard.
The cops are interviewing another boy who has already been involved with the organisation for five years.
The source found it scary that the first boy could tell the cops how to make a bomb to prove he is telling the truth, but the cops would not confirm it.
If this story is true, and I frankly doubt it, it will be pretty sensational in the media who are going to make a meal of it.
Why do I doubt it? Well, first of all nobody with three brain cells is going to "kidnap" children of that age, teach them how to make bombs, etc; and prepare them for a war against blacks.
Why? Because they talk..! And anybody who is serious about this is going to keep it very, very secret indeed.
And its quite odd that this is trotted out now, a couple of months before elections. Personally I think this is just another excuse for more white hate mongering.
The truth is probably something much more mundane, such as this being veld school for youngster... But, no doubt we will hear a lot more soon.
The difference..... - *Yesterday there was a service-delivery protest in Lydenburg, South Africa, which was attended by about 500 residents. And somewhere else in South Africa t...
