One of the things we South Africans have always prided ourselves on is the quality of our airline, SAA. Of late this has been a shambles, with technicians and pilots leaving in droves, and management shake-ups happening as frequently as Malema makes derogatory statements. Many have been saying that SAA is due for a BIG incident, which brings me to a story that has been well suppressed .....

What would be interesting is whether any of our readers could shed some light on this incident. Was there an investigation? What was the outcome? Who was the pilot at the time? Is this indicative of the lowering of standards at SAA?
