Subscribing to our RSS Feeds

We've been asked to provide a short "how-to" to subscribe to our RSS Feed(s). It really is the best way to keep up with our latest posts.

So listen up class, for those of you unfamiliar with RSS feeds, here's a short explanation on what to do.

At the top left of the front page of the blog is two RSS feeds (with icons like the image alongside) for either 'posts' or 'comments'.

Let's do 'posts'. The procedure is the same for 'comments'.

Click on the 'posts' icon and it brings a drop-down menu. You can select from six feeders but I recommend Atom because it is a simple feed. Ok then, now click on 'Atom' and it sends you to a page where you will see 'View Feed XML', click that and it brings up another page that says "Subscribe Now". Click that and the feed is bookmarked.

You can do the same for the 'Comments' feed to keep a track of your (and others') comments. We do post quite, um, prolifically so it is hard to keep up.

It's that simple. When you click on the newly created bookmark(s), you will see about two dozen of the latest posts/comments displayed.
