An East London magistrate has sent notorious taxi driver Dumani Kwatsha ‘back to school’
Friday afternoon by making him write “I will not do this again” 60 times.
Kwatsha was arrested on Thursday afternoon by traffic officer Nico Neethling in Devereux Avenue, Vincent.
He had a total of 60 warrants of arrest out against him and owes the traffic department more than R28 000 in outstanding fines.
Magistrate Bharat Hansjee ordered Kwatsha to write out that he won’t commit any further traffic offences. His fines were also reduced.
Traffic and law enforcement commander in Buffalo City Berny Martin earlier said Kwatsha was the city’s most wanted taxi driver.
He has apparently broken every traffic violation in the book.
