Dog finds baby's head

Only in the rainbow nation.

A dog was seen carrying a baby's head in Durban's Kwa-Dabeka area, police said on Thursday.

A group of children noticed the dog on Wednesday afternoon, said Superintendent Vincent Mdunge.

Police had not yet found the newborn baby's body.

"Only the head was found... and we don't know whether the child was a victim of an illegal abortion or whether he was stillborn".

Police were investigating.

Abandoning babies a 'norm'
A 24-year-old woman was arrested in Kagiso on Thursday for abandoning her new born baby girl, Gauteng police said.

"The baby was abandoned on Sunday in Hillsview, Kagiso," said Inspector Solomon Sibiya.

He said the baby was already three days old when passers by spotted her wrapped in a blanket and crying on the side of a road.

"Police were called and then took the baby who was unharmed, to a place of safety. The mother then came into the police station today, to ask for her baby back... she was distraught and could not give us an explanation... we had no choice but to arrest her."

He said abandoning babies had become a "norm" in the Kagiso area. Source

By coincidence I just posted a story on the abandonment of thousands of SA babies in South Africa. Often headless babies are found, and some baby remains were even found in the stomachs of crocodiles. A horrid thought.

And these stories are not even deemed newsworthy.
But just watch the uproar on the spray paint indecent
