Mbeki's pension 100% of salary

Cape Town - The former president, Thabo Mbeki, will continue to have all the payments, salaries and other packages that he was receiving the day before he left office, for the rest of his life.

A resolution passed by the National Assembly on Friday also allows the former president to have annual pay increases based on those recommended by the Remuneration Commission.

He will also have his medical insurance fully paid.

The resolution grants 50% of his package to his widow if he should die.

Poor chap - and so deserving. Will miss his main toy , his beloved plane that allowed him to escape the reality he had created.

Yep, he spent more time in that plane than in his wife.

Let's hope he dies soon.
