Oh geesh…

Our proud police farce.

Barberton - A police officer found herself in an embarrassing situation when she landed in the middle of a robbery at the local post office.

When the inspector reached for her pistol during the robbery, she discovered that she had left it at home.

More than R320 000 was stolen in front of hundreds of pensioners at the town's post office.

Four masked robbers armed with pistols stormed into the jam-packed post office just after 09:30.

Post office staff apparently were still packing away the thousands of rands in pension money that had just been delivered to the post office when the robbers attacked.

After the robbery, the men disappeared among the many pensioners who were waiting in queues.

Police spokesperson Jabu Ndubane said the robbers got away with R322 000.
