Pamphlets warning illegal immigrants to leave Garankuwa are being distributed in the northern areas of Pretoria.
At least 42 people have been killed during attacks on foreigners in Gauteng over the past two weeks.
Hundreds more have been injured and thousands displaced during the violence.
The pamphlets state that all illegal foreigners must leave Garankuwa by the end of tomorrow.
It warns especially Pakistani, Somalian, Zimbabwean, Mozambican and Nigerian business people not to stay in the area.
Although the document does not state what will happen if immigrants do not leave, authorities are taking the matter seriously.
It’s understood thousands of these pamphlets have already been distributed in Garankuwa, Mapobane and Winterveld.
Police say they are investigating.
