Special courts mooted for ‘attackers’

Maybe we’ll see some common sense for a change.

People need to see justice done quickly. It is good for the image of the country that we be seen dealing with this shit forcefully.

Make an example of these people.

Have them charged, processed and thrown in jail where they belong, quickly. No bail, no second chances.

We cannot have these creatures back in the communities instigating more shit. If they were dogs, they would be shot. Apologies to dogs notwithstanding since dogs wouldn’t behave with the barbarity we have seen.

Throw the book at them and give them the kind of harsh punishment that will act as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.

Enough with the liberal “blame his upbringing, blame his mama, blame apartheid, blame global warming, blame his pet frog” shite.

Hang them up high and do it in the middle of the township.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and the Justice Ministry met in Pretoria yesterday to decide on how about 500 xenophobia attack suspects would be prosecuted.

“The objective is to have special courts and court officials to enable us to process this as soon as possible,” NPA spokesman Tlali Tlali s aid.

He said members of the prosecuting authority were locked in a meeting with the director-general and other justice officials to discuss the prosecution of about 500 people arrested in violence that left 50 people dead.

Gauteng police director Govindsamy Mariemuthoo could not say how many of those arrested had already appeared in court.

“It is difficult to say because different people were arrested on different charges.”
